250 million soums stolen from Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing Center in Namangan
The Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office carried out an audit of the activities of Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing Center in the Namangan region, the PGO press service informs.
The inspection showed that officials of the center have acquired disinfectant calcium hypochlorite from several companies for 524.8 million soums, whereas with the average market price this figure is estimated at 275.9 million soums. Thus, 248.9 million soum were stolen from the budget.
The department instituted criminal proceedings against the officials of the Center under Article 167 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
