Lockdown measures in force: Uzbekistan bans weddings and other family celebrations; movement of vehicles between regions prohibited
The Special Republican Commission to combat the coronavirus pandemic has introduced new restrictions that will come into force on July 10.
According to the decision of the Commission, from July 10, Uzbekistan will limit the movement of vehicles.
In addition, within the framework of the legislation, government agencies have been instructed to send the majority of their employees on leave, and for the rest, organize remote work via the Internet.
All government agencies are banned from conducting any events or activities. Only in urgent cases can events be held in a videoconference format.
Also, the movement of transports between regions is prohibited (with the exception of vehicles that are involved in agricultural work).
It is forbidden to conduct any entertainment events, including weddings and other family celebrations.
Persons over 65 years of age are forbidden to leave home and be in public places unless it is extremely necessary.
