Uzbekistan denies rumors on strengthening of quarantine measures starting July 15
Uzbekistan is not planning to tighten quarantine measures due to the spread of coronavirus. A rebuttal of earlier reports was published on July 14.
“The information distributed on social networks and the Telegram messenger on behalf of the Special Republican Commission about the allegedly tightening of the quarantine regime from July 15 to August 1 and the introduction of new restrictions is false and unfounded,” the statement said.
Earlier, information circulated on social networks that the Special Republican Commission was introducing new restrictions. In particular, a complete ban on the use of vehicles, the suspension of certain industries and the introduction of curfews would be allegedly introduced.
