“There is nothing more important than maintaining the health of our citizens” – Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Anti-epidemic measures should be given priority when allocating funds from the republican and local budgets, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in a videoconference held today, July 20.

City and district khokims are responsible for monitoring the situation in each hospital around-the-clock, they ensure that operations run smoothly and without any problems.

In addition, in order to ensure the continuity of the newly purchased ambulances, attracting qualified drivers, who have lost income due to the suspension of operations, from various sectors of the economy, primarily from the public transport associations, has been tasked.

All sector leaders are scheduled to start the work day in the morning with a study of the situation in hospitals in their areas.

“Every leader must understand that today there is no more important task than maintaining the health of our citizens,” President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

At the meeting, the issue of paying a surcharge of 6 percent of the monthly salary for each working day to the medical staff of clinics involved in the fight against coronavirus was resolved. In addition, starting today, a separate commercial bank will be set up in each private hospital working with coronavirus patients, and a 14-day on-site payment system for doctors will be introduced.

During the meeting, it was planned to allocate the first 10 billion soums for the stockpile of medicines.

It was also noted that the khokimiyats of the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region will allocate 20 billion and 10 billion soums, respectively, to the JSC Dori-Darmon as working capital.
