Bank of Korea to advise Central Bank of Uzbekistan on monetary policy
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has signed an agreement with the Central Bank of Korea (Bank of Korea) on a knowledge partnership program, the press service of the CB reported.
The program is aimed at promoting the development of the financial market and macroeconomic policy of Uzbekistan to support long-term economic growth, as well as strengthening the capacity of the banking staff through the exchange of knowledge and experience with Korean specialists and the implementation of their policies in relevant spheres.
As part of the program, the Bank of Korea will give the Central Bank of Uzbekistan advice on monetary policy, including in-depth macroeconomic analysis to improve the skills of its employees.
The program will be implemented by a team comprised of Bank of Korea staff, scientific advisers of leading Korean economic institutions and employees of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
