Mirziyoyev congratulates Jeenbekov on Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov on Independence Day, the presidential press service said.

Independence Day is the main state holiday in Kyrgyzstan. It is celebrated annually on August 31, the anniversary of its declaration of independence in 1991.

Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with the Kyrgyz Republic on February 16, 1993, through the exchange of notes.
