Labor Ministry announces amount of payments for cotton harvesting
In the first harvest, 1 kilogram of cotton costs 1,000 soums, and in the second harvest – 1,400 soums.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Bakhodir Umrzakov at the AIMC press conference.
According to the Deputy Minister, pickers who harvest well during the cotton season can earn around 100-120 thousand a day.
“There are two types of cotton pickers: one working only in their area of residence and those who go to other localities to work. Working conditions will be organized for all harvesters.
First of all, we will involve the unemployed in the harvest: young people, women, and, if they desire, then the elderly will be attracted,” Bakhodir Umrzakov said.
