Uzbekistan national football team to play friendly matches against Iran and the UAE in October

The Uzbekistan national football team will play friendly matches against teams of Iran and the UAE in October, the Uzbekistan Football Association reports.

The national team will hold a training camp in Tashkent. Within its framework, Uzbekistan will play against Iran on October 8. The game will take place at the Pakhtakor Stadium.

Then the team will fly to Dubai, where on October 12 they will face the UAE national team.

It should be reminded that the 2022 World Cup qualifiers of the national team of Uzbekistan, scheduled for October and November, will not be held due to the coronavirus pandemic. The team of Uzbekistan was to play in the second round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on October 13 against Yemen, on November 12 – against Singapore, and on November 17 – against Saudi Arabia.

All 2022 World Cup qualifiers have been postponed to 2021.
