When will universities return to the traditional form of education? Ministry official answers
Abduvali Kholikov, head of the Main Department at the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, touched upon the issue of when the traditional form of education will start at higher education institutions throughout the country.
“Currently, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, is considering this issue. When you compare higher education to school, there is a difference. Most university students need to live in dormitories. This in itself will lead to mass gatherings among them and make it difficult to follow quarantine rules,” Abduvali Kholikov told at the September 21 press conference, held at the National Press Center.
The ministerial official said that if there is any news on the matter, it will be announced soon.
“Currently, centers are being set up in the districts for students who do not have access to the Internet, and opportunities are being created for them to study online,” he added.
