Media: Shukhrat Ganiyev to be appointed Deputy PM, khokim of Namangan region Khayrulla Bozorov to replace him in Fergana
Khokim of the Fergana region Shukhrat Ganiyev is leaving his post due to being transferred to another job.
He is expected to be appointed Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Agrarian and Food Sectors.
Shukhrat Ganiyev has been Uzbekistan’s longest-serving khokim in one province, Fergana, since 2011.
Also, according to some sources, khokim of the Namangan region Khayrulla Bozorov will take the post of the Fergana region khokim.
In turn, Shavkat Abdurazzakov, who headed the city of Namangan in 2017-2020 and is currently the chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, is expected to be appointed khokim of the Namangan region.
It should be recalled that Uktam Barnoyev, who had been the Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Agrarian and Food Sectors since February 2020, died of coronavirus recently.
