Uzbekistan to approve national strategy concept for social protection of the population
It aims to improve the legal mechanisms for the protection of various socially vulnerable segments of the population in accordance with international standards.
The draft presidential decree on approval of the national strategy concept for social protection of the population of Uzbekistan in 2021-2030 has been published.
The concept of the national strategy for social protection of the population has been developed in collaboration with the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Development Program, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank Office in the country and the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the decree, the followings shall be approved:
- national strategy concept for social protection of the population of Uzbekistan in 2021-2030;
- “Roadmap” for the implementation of the national strategy concept for social protection of the population of Uzbekistan in 2021-2030.
The Ministry of Finance together with other relevant ministries and departments shall submit to the Cabinet of Ministers until April 1, 2021, a draft resolution on approval of the national strategy concept for social protection of the population of Uzbekistan in 2021-2030.
