Coronavirus cases reach 55 thousand in Uzbekistan

179 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan, follows from the daily report of the Ministry of Health.

“As of 10:00 a.m., September 27, the number of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan stands at 55,132 (+179),” the statement of the Health Ministry reads.

It is noted that 97 new cases were detected in Tashkent, 27 – in Namangan, 17 – in Samarkand, 12 – in Surkhandarya, 12 – in Fergana, 7 – in the Tashkent region and 7 – in Karakalpakstan.

So far, 51,458 people (93%) have recovered from the disease, 456 died. Currently, 3,218 people are undergoing treatment, the Ministry says.
