Court verdict on heads of “Amilee Bahora” private employment agency announced
The Samarkand city court on criminal proceedings has announced the verdict on the heads of “Amilee Bahora Private Employment Agency” LLC, which had been deceiving citizens promising them help in finding work abroad.
According to the press service of the Supreme Court, the verdict was announced against the defendants – the founder and lawyer of “Amilee Bahora Private Employment Agency” LLC Jakhongir Tokhirov (born in 1970), and the founder and head of the agency Bakhora Raupova (born in 1972).
The final hearing on this criminal case was held on October 5, 2020, in the building of the Samarkand city court on criminal proceedings, presided by Judge Z. Ahmedova, Assistant Judge Z. Fayziyev and Kh. Rabbimov.
The number of victims in this criminal case was more than 300.
According to the verdict, the defendant Jakhongir Tokhirov was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 168-3, Paragraph “b”, Article 189-1 and Article 228-1 of the Criminal Code, he was sentenced to 7 years in prison under Article 57 of the Criminal Code. He will serve his sentence in a general colony.
Defendant Bakhora Raupova was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 168-3, Paragraphs “b, v” and Article 189-1 of the Criminal Code, she was sentenced to 5 years in prison under Article 57 of the Criminal Code. She will also serve her sentence in a general colony.
In addition, the court ruled that the office building (116.95 square meters) on Registan Street, Samarkand city, valued at 1 billion 3.17 million soums, should be put up for auction. The funds shall be distributed to the deceived citizens and the remaining amount will be returned to J. Tokhirov and B. Raupova.
