17.1 trillion soums to be allocated for the development of social and production infrastructure
President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on organizational measures for the development of social and production infrastructure programs, the Ministry of Justice reports.
In accordance with the decision, in 2021, 17.1 trillion soums will be allocated for the development of social and production infrastructure in Uzbekistan, as well as 1.5 trillion soums for the social and economic development of the regions.
In 2021, 1.4 trillion soums will be allocated for the modernization of the architectural design and improvement of district centers and towns.
With the allocation of resources for the development of the material and technical base of defense and law enforcement agencies from their off-budgetary funds, the amount of central investment allocated to them is being reduced proportionately.
From 2022, the projects of budgetary organizations implemented from their off-budgetary funds will be included in programs for the development of the social and production infrastructure of Uzbekistan.
According to the decree, as an experiment, private entrepreneurs will be attracted to ten projects to provide engineering services in 2021.
In cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations, the system Public Investment Management Assessment (PIMA) is going to be introduced in selected industries as an experiment, with its subsequent wider use.
