Antimonopoly Committee calls on UzAuto Motors to adhere to ethical standards

The Committee refrained from commenting for a long time, but eventually reacted, Spot writes.

Previously, UzAuto Motors, within the framework of the case with the Antimonopoly Committee, accused the experts of the Special Commission of incompetence and unprofessionalism.

“The Committee did not comment on what was happening, since everything that needs to be said and commented on in relation to the suit and claims of UzAuto Motors is voiced by the experts of the Committee during the trial. However, representatives of the company after each meeting are restating their official position on the case, which has not yet closed, openly and emotionally accusing the experts of the state body”, the Antimonopoly Committee press service said.

After the third meeting, UzAuto Motors said that “the hearings confirmed the weakness of the defendant’s arguments, but this was just quite predictable.”

“Since the last hearing was held behind closed doors at the request of UzAuto Motors, the Committee cannot disclose all the arguments and oppositions that were voiced during the process. But it declares with confidence that the arguments against the decision of the Special Commission on the part of the company have not been sufficiently reasoned. At the same time, there was no confirmation of the “weakness of the defendant’s arguments” in the court,” the Committee said.

The trial has been tentatively postponed until Friday of next week. Based on this, the Antimonopoly Committee called on UzAuto Motors to adhere to ethical standards and refrain from unfounded comments in relation to the state body.
