Three people detained in Tashkent for illegal trading with Remdesivir
Illegal trafficking of large quantities of drugs was revealed in the city of Tashkent, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
In the course of an operational event held by the Shaykhantakhur district department of the PGO, it was established that some individuals were planning to sell 85 boxes of Remdesivir, a foreign-made drug that is in high demand by the population due to the coronavirus pandemic, for 750,000 soums per box.
Three people were detained while selling the medicine illegally for a total of $6,200 outside the pharmacy, and 85 boxes of Remdesevir were confiscated from them.
In addition, during the inspection of a Lacetti car in Tashkent, 135 boxes of this same drug worth a total of 165 million soums were seized as material evidence.
On this fact, a criminal case has been filed under the relevant article of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
