Tashkent Medical Academy rector becomes First Deputy Adviser to the President

Laziz Tuychiev has been appointed First Deputy Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on Youth policy, Science, Education, Health, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Health reports.

Prior to his appointment – since 2016 – Tuychiev had been serving as the rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Laziz Tuychiev previously held responsible positions at the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, worked as Deputy Minister of Health.

In 2020, he was awarded the Order “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun”.
