Anvar Alimov becomes Deputy Minister of Health
By the relevant presidential decree, Anvar Alimov, former director of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology named after Academician Yo.Kh. Turakulov, has been appointed Deputy Minister of Health – head of the Tashkent city health department, the ministerial press service reported.

Anvar Alimov was born in 1955 in the city of Tashkent. In 1978, he graduated from the Central Asian Pediatric Medical Institute, he is a pediatrician-anesthesiologist, resuscitator.
Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Anvar Alimov was the Rector of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute in 2000-2009, the First Deputy Minister of Health in 2009-2012, and the Minister of Health in 2012-2016.
Since December 2016, he has been working as the director of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology.
In 2020, he was awarded the honorary title “Honored Healthcare Worker of Uzbekistan”.
