Sale of paid license plate numbers increases 2.6 times

Sales of high-value vehicle registration plates increased 2.6 times in 10 months of 2020, the Uzbek Commodity Exchange reports.
“In 10 months of 2020, more than 80,5 thousand license plate numbers were sold through the online auction on the website avtoraqam.uzex.uz for a total of 218.8 billion soums. The increase in the sales was 2.6 times,” the report says.
The average cost of one transaction was 2.6 million soums. The most expensive license plate was sold for 186.2 million soums.
A new version of the Avtoraqam mobile application, which was recently launched, enables the registration of the bidder online. Payments can also be made through this application in real-time.
