Gas explosion claims the lives of two people in Tashkent region
Gas explosion occurred in one of the houses in the Tashkent region, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported.
The incident took place today, at 07:42, in the Kirarik mahalla, which is located in the Yangiyul district. According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred due to a violation of safety rules.
“As a result of the outburst, part of the building collapsed. One resident of the house died on the spot, and another one died in the hospital. Two more residents of this house received various injuries and were hospitalized,” the MES said.
The heads of the MES, the khokimiyat of the Tashkent region and the DIA have arrived at the scene.
“With the help of the forces and means of specialized structures, the process of eliminating the consequences of emergencies is being carried out. The Ministry of Emergency Situations asks citizens to observe safety precautions when using gas and heating appliances,” the press service added.
