Mirziyoyev was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yun-cheol and other officials.
The three-day visit includes talks with President Lee Jae Myung in restricted and expanded formats, meetings with National Assembly Speaker Cho Jung-sik, Prime Minister Han Son-suk, executives of country’s major companies and financial institutions, as well as Uzbek compatriots living in South Korea, the presidential press service said.
Mirziyoyev is expected to speak at the opening of a joint business forum.
On September 16, the president will take part in the First Korea-Central Asia Summit 2026.
Alongside the political and economic agenda, Uzbekistan Culture Days will be held in Seoul and several other cities across the Republic of Korea.
