Statistics Committee announces regions of Uzbekistan with highest number of private enterprises
As of November 1 this year, the total number of business entities (excluding dehkan farms) in Uzbekistan reached 401,727, 22.3% (89,677) of which are private enterprises.
According to the State Statistics Committee data, the following regions have the highest number of private enterprises:
Tashkent – 12,858;
Fergana region – 10,779;
Kashkadarya region – 9,123;
Namangan region – 7,188;
Surkhandarya region – 7,018.
The types of enterprises by economic activity:
in trade – 33,837;
in industry – 16,165;
in construction – 7,850;
in accommodation and food services – 7,803;
in agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 6,658.
