Uzbekistan proposes Russia to cooperate in producing vaccines
Uzbekistan has proposed to investors from Russia the project on production of immunobiological vaccines, including vaccines against COVID-19, on the basis of a pharmaceutical cluster in Tashkent, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the representative of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan.
“The Agency has offered investors from Russia the project for the production of immunobiological vaccines, including Russian vaccines against coronavirus,” the representative of the department said.
He clarified that the proposal had been made last Friday during the meeting between the business circles of the two countries. The event was organized during the visit of the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, to Uzbekistan.
The representative of the agency announced that the production facility will be located on the territory of Tashkent Pharma Park.
In accordance with the business plan, it is planned to prepare the feasibility study of the project by April 2021 and to start its implementation in June next year.
