Otabek Umarov nominated for Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia
The chairman of the Triathlon Federation of Uzbekistan, Otabek Umarov, has been nominated for the post of Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) reports.
His candidacy was approved on Wednesday at an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the NOC.
“The candidacy of Otabek Umarov, who has great sports and organizational potential, has been nominated for the post of Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia,” the statement said.
During the session, the head of the Directorate for the Asian Youth Games “Tashkent-2025” was also elected. NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov was unanimously approved for this position.
