CIS Council of Heads of State to convene on December 18
The videoconference meeting will be chaired by Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the Kremlin, the heads of state will discuss the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation within the CIS in the political, commercial, economic, social and cultural fields.
“The parties will also consider the questions of interaction in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus infection, exchange views on current international and regional matters,” the report states.
Following the meeting, the leaders will adopt an updated concept for the further development of the CIS, joint statements on the 75th anniversary of the UN, cooperation plans in the field of international information security and a number of other documents.
