New Ambassador appointed to Pakistan
The tenth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis considered the appointment of a new Ambassador to Pakistan.
The senators adopted a decision to appoint Oybek Usmanov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Oybek Usmanov was born in September 1962. In 1997, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as First Secretary of the Consular Department.
Since then, he has held various positions in diplomatic missions as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Egypt and Jordan (with residence in Cairo).
Usmanov also worked as head of the Television and Radio Department of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and senior editor of the publishing house for Asian countries.
