Long-hour queues at CNG filling stations cause deadly incidents in Namangan
On the night of January 10, a man who was waiting in a queue at the “Namangan Suyuqgaz” LLC gas filling station, located in the Yuksalish mahalla in Namangan, died falling on the ground.
Reportedly, the man tried to kick the engine of his car into life as it got frozen after staying there for hours. The attempts were useless and the man started pushing the car manually. He accidentally fell on the asphalt and died on the spot.
The prosecutor’s office said he lived in the Obodon mahalla of the Kasansay district, Namangan region.
The preliminary medical analysis says that there were scratches on his face, but no other injuries were found on his body.
Law enforcement agencies have started a corresponding check.
Also, a Damas car caught fire waiting in line at a gas station.
The incident took place on January 11, at 07:50, at the CNG filling station “Afsona-4” in the Turakurgan district.
According to the Traffic Safety Department, the fire in the car was caused by a short circuit of electrical wires in the engine compartment of the car. It was extinguished and no one was injured. An investigation is currently underway.
Previously, it was reported that in Uzbekistan the work hours of CNG filling stations were temporarily limited. These restrictions were introduced in a number of regions in agreement with local khokimiyats.
