US dollar on the rise in commercial banks
Commercial banks in Uzbekistan have increased the exchange rate of the US dollar starting Tuesday morning.
A number of banks have set the purchase rate at 10,470-10,500 soums and the sale at 10,520 soums. The last time the US currency exchange rate in banks rose sharply in December (purchase – 10,450 soums, sale – 10,500 soums).
Earlier on January 11, the Central Bank announced new exchange rates of foreign currencies against the soum, in accordance with which the official rate of the US dollar increased by 23 soums and amounted to 10,473 soums per dollar.
