Preferences for transit of Uzbekistan’s export goods through Iran retained
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tehran has worked out the issues of prolonging the current tariff preferences for the transit of Uzbek goods through Iran by the end of this year, Dunyo IA reported.
The embassy received a letter from the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways company in which it is reported that in order to further stimulate the transportation of goods by rail, the Iranian side has retained the tariff rates for cargo transportation through its territory and has applied significant discounts on the transportation of goods.
Tariff preferences are provided for the transportation of such export goods of Uzbek producers as textile and agricultural products, mineral fertilizers, oil products and certain types of construction materials.
