Uzbekistan evacuates over 30 citizens from Iran via Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan
More than 30 Uzbek nationals have been successfully evacuated from Iran and returned to Uzbekistan via Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

According to the MFA, the evacuation operation was carried out with the cooperation of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, whose territories were used to facilitate the safe return of the Uzbek citizens.
The Foreign Ministry expressed its sincere gratitude to the governments of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Iran for their close cooperation and assistance in the evacuation process.
“All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of our citizens. The embassies of Uzbekistan in Iran and Israel are operating around the clock,” the ministry stated.
Uzbek citizens currently residing in these countries are strongly advised to remain in safe locations and maintain close contact with the Uzbek diplomatic missions.

Earlier, Turkmenistan had allowed its territory to be used for evacuation efforts and provided humanitarian assistance to foreign nationals arriving from Iran. Among those who crossed the Turkmen border were foreign diplomats based in Iran, their family members, and citizens of several countries, including Uzbekistan.
