Health Ministry says 98 percent of coronavirus patients recovered
The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan has updated statistics on coronavirus cases in the country.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, 45 people tested positive for coronavirus on January 22. The total number of reported cases reached 78,317.
Out of the 45 people, 28 are from Tashkent, 1 - from Karakalpakstan, 1 – from Bukhara, 1 – from Kashkadarya, 1 – from Navoi, 1 – from Namangan, 3 – from Samarkand, 3 – from Syrdarya and 6 – from Khorezm.
It is also reported that one patient had died, bringing the total number of deaths to 621.
In addition, 18 people in Tashkent, 1 in Karakalpakstan, 2 in Andijan and 5 in Jizzakh recovered from the disease yesterday.
The total number of people recovered reached 76,778 – 98 percent of the total number of infection cases.
The number of active cases is 918. At present, 158 patients are in moderate and 32 are in critical condition.
