Foreign Ministry: Entry of Uzbek students to Russia is still not permitted
Recently, the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare has published the procedure for entering the territory of the Russian Federation for foreign students.
According to the report, “in the current situation, foreign students arriving from countries with which air traffic has already been resumed should be checked for COVID-19 twice – before arriving in the Russian Federation and within 72 hours after entering its territory.”
In this regard, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Uzbekistan reminds that as of February 16, 2021, the Russian side has not lifted the restrictions on the entry of Uzbek citizens, with the exception of certain categories of persons determined by order No. 635-r of the Russian government dated March 16, 2020 (as amended from 03.02.2021).
The Embassy in Moscow once again reminds that citizens of Uzbekistan studying in educational institutions of Russia do not fall under the category of citizens entitled to enter this country in connection with restrictive measures.
