Uzbekistan’s mining and quarrying sector produced 3.2 trillion soums worth of mineral resources in January
The mining and quarrying sector produced mineral resources worth 3.2 trillion soums in January this year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, this accounted for 12.0 % of the total volume of industrial production.
Mineral resources and other products produced in the mining and quarrying sector:
January 2019 – 3.1 trillion soums;
January 2020 – 3.9 trillion soums;
January 2021 – 3.2 trillion soums.
The mining and quarrying sector includes mining of fossil fuels (coal and lignite mining, oil and gas extraction), mining of metal ores, quarrying of stone, sand, and clay, and mining of phosphate and other minerals.
