Head of Andijan city public education department detained for taking bribe

During the event, they caught a man red-handed when he was taking $8,400 in bribe from another person in exchange for “help” with the attestation through his acquaintances working in the public education system, the appointment of two acquaintances to the post of a school principal and the appointment of a friend to the post of deputy principal.

The citizen pleaded guilty and said that he was supposed to give part of the money to the head of the Andijan city public education department.

The head of the Andijan city public education department was detained when he received a bribe in the amount of $900 from the citizen in exchange for a positive solution to the above-mentioned issues.

A criminal case has been filed against the official under Article 210 and against the “broker” – under Articles 168, 28 and 211 of the Criminal Code.
