Ramadan to begin on April 13
The holy month of Ramadan will begin in Uzbekistan on April 13.
This is stated in the presidential decree “On the worthy celebration of the holy month of Ramadan”.
The document notes the special role and importance of this month, which is considered a symbol of kindness, generosity and charity in the spiritual life of Uzbekistan, further strengthening the good-nature, mutual compassion and social cohesion, respect and reverence for the noble qualities, religious and spiritual values which are inherent to Uzbek people.
Mosques will be open for Taraweeh prayers.
