316 people test positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan in a day

On April 16, 316 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the country, bringing the total number of officially registered cases to 86,338.

The Ministry of Health reports that 227 cases were recorded in the city of Tashkent, 3 – in Karakalpakstan, 3 – in Andijan, 10 – in Bukhara, 7 – in Jizzakh, 3 – in Namangan, 20 – in Samarkand, 3 – in Syrdarya, 2 – in Surkhandarya, 1 – in Khorezm and 37 – in Tashkent region.

Also, 1 patient died. The official death toll has reached 636.

So far, 83,838 people have recovered from the disease in the country.

Currently, 1,864 people are being treated in hospitals, 238 of them in serious and 109 – in critical condition.
