Participant of World War II to be paid a one-time monetary reward
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the decree “On encouraging the participants of World War II”.
According to the document, in 2021, participants of World War II will be paid a one-time monetary reward in the amount of 12 million soums.
The costs associated with the implementation of this decree will be made at the expense of the republican budget.
“The Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family shall ensure the payment of the specified monetary remuneration to the participants of World War II,” the document says.
The Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent, together with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family, the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment and the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, in compliance with quarantine rules, are instructed to hold special meetings, cultural and educational events dedicated to the defenders of freedom and honor of the Motherland.
