Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructs to increase volume of Internet services by at least 2 times

By October 1, 2021, at least 500 trade and service facilities will be established in Uzbekistan on the basis of standard projects along international and interregional highways. This was announced at a videoconference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
“The Minister of Transport Ilhom Makhkamov, together with regional khokims, will embark on the project within two months by holding a tender for the organization of trade and service facilities at the local airports, railways and bus stations, in full compliance with safety requirements.
By October 1, 2021, regional khokims together with the heads of the responsible ministries must create at least 500 trade and service facilities along the international and interregional highways on the basis of standard projects and create 50,000 new jobs.
Adviser to the Prime Minister Olimjon Umarov, Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Shukhrat Sodikov will increase the volume of communication and Internet services by at least 2 times (20 trillion soums) and programming by 3 times (2.5 trillion soums) by further expanding the participation of the private sector in the sphere,” Mirziyoyev said.
