Coronavirus: Nearly 400 new cases reported on April 23

On April 23, 399 people tested positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan, bringing the total number of cases to 88,679.

According to the Ministry of Health, 217 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 5 – in Karakalpakstan, 4 – in Andijan, 2 – in Bukhara, 9 – in Jizzakh, 3 – in Navoi, 6 – in Namangan, 54 – in Samarkand, 5 – in Syrdarya, 8 – in Surkhandarya, 1 – in Fergana, 2 – in Khorezm and 83 – in Tashkent region. 

Also, one patient died on April 23. The official death toll stands at 642.

So far, 85,536 people have recovered from the disease in the country.

Currently, 2,501 people are being treated in hospitals. 238 of them are in serious and 113 – in critical condition.
