Prosecutor of Andijan city dismissed from office

In Andijan, the city prosecutor Kurbonali Askarov has been relieved of his post. According to the PGO press service, he left the job of his own free will.

Earlier, the deputy of the local council demanded to re-certify the city prosecutor. After that, the supervisory department decided to deprive the deputy of immunity.

The supervisory authority stressed that the prosecutor’s dismissal is not related to the search case that occurred earlier.

It should be recalled that on May 17, during a session of the Andijan city council, law enforcement officers searched some of the MPs.
