Abdulaziz Kamilov holds talks with Turkmen President in Ashgabat
On May 26, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit at the head of the Uzbekistan delegation, was received by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
According to the MFA press service, the minister conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the course of the practical implementation of agreements reached during high-level visits.
“Topical aspects of the bilateral agenda and regional interaction were considered. The need for more complete use of the existing potential in the field of trade, investment, industrial cooperation, primarily in transport, energy, mechanical engineering, light and food industries, agriculture and water management, was emphasized,” the statement said.
Also, Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
The sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further development of cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, transport-transit, water management, cultural-humanitarian and other areas.
The issues of interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations were also considered.
