Fire in fuel truck kills two people on Kamchik pass
On July 1, a fuel truck caught fire on the 260th kilometer of the Tashkent-Osh highway on the Kamchik pass, the press service of the Emergencies Ministry reported.
“At 14:25 on the 260th kilometer of the Tashkent-Osh international highway, a fuel tanker, heading to the Fergana Valley, caught fire,” the statement says.
The car with fuel caught fire as a result of an accident. The truck driver lost control of the vehicle.
The search and rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene immediately and was able to extinguish the fire.
However, as a result of the incident, two people were killed who were in the cabin of the fuel truck.
