President gets acquainted with construction of “New Uzbekistan” park
The 104-hectare park in Kibray also includes the “Istiqlol” complex. A quiet area and fountains, a 6-hectare artificial lake, sports grounds, a children’s playground and an open amphitheater for 5,000 seats are being built in the park. In the future, national holidays, cultural and educational events will be held here.
On May 1, the first saplings were planted in the “New Uzbekistan” park and landscaping began. Today, large-scale construction and beautification works are underway. More than 2,000 builders and workers, as well as more than 200 special equipment were involved.
On July 9, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction work here. This was reported by the presidential press service.
“The content of the park embodies the history of our national statehood, the current aspirations of our people and the goals of the Third Renaissance. The general view of the 104-hectare garden will be in the form of five branches of a tree in line with the directions of the Actions Strategy. Here, beautiful areas will be built, where people can relax in the bosom of nature. Ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers such as chestnut, oak, maple, tulip, nastarin will be planted.
The “Istiqlol” complex is being built in the park. It reflects the 3,000-year history of our country, the great deeds of our ancestors, the national identity of our people, the new image of Uzbekistan. Today, the foundation of this huge structure is cast and the foundation is made of iron.
An open amphitheater for 5,000 seats will be built on an area of more than one hectare. In the future, national holidays, cultural and educational events will be held here. The complex will be equipped with modern lighting and acoustic systems. Meanwhile, the audience space has been restored and the stage’s iron fences have been installed.
The park will also include a 6-hectare artificial lake, sports fields, a children’s playground, a quiet area and fountains. Today, the construction sites are being prepared, irrigation and drainage systems are being built.
The head of state also saw seedlings of ornamental trees planted in the garden.
An Olympic Town, a university, a hospital, trade and entertainment facilities will also be built in this area of Kibray district. Their construction has already been started here,” the report said.
