Electricity, water and roads issues comprise the majority of appeals to the Open Budget portal – Finance Ministry
Most of the 3,123 appeals are related to the issues of electricity and drinking water supply, as well as road repair.
The Ministry of Finance has launched a new version of the Open Budget information portal in a test mode.
The portal has the “Initiative Budget” section, where residents of all regions and cities can write about problems they face.
According to the press service of the ministry, the portal received 3,123 appeals, and most of them were problems with drinking water, road repair, electricity and the Internet.
To note, in 2021, 30 percent of the revenues of the local budgets in each city or district will be allocated to the Initiative Budget project, and 5 percent of the local budget of 14 districts and cities will be spent based on public opinion. From 2022, this system will be extended to all regions.
This year, 156,072 million soums were allocated for this purpose from the state budget.
From August 1, residents of all districts and cities will be able to apply to the Open Budget portal about problems related to the repair of roads or buildings, improving the supply of drinking water and electricity.
