FM Abdulaziz Kamilov receives newly appointed ambassador of Canada
On July 26, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada with residence in Moscow, Alison LeClaire.
As the press service of the foreign ministry said, accepting the credentials, the minister congratulated the ambassador on the appointment to a responsible post and expressed hope that her professional experience would contribute to the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Canadian cooperation.
During the conversation, the current state and perspective directions of multifaceted bilateral relations were discussed, ways of expanding the joint agenda were considered.
“The sides noted mutual interest in enhancing regular political and economic dialogue, in particular through political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, deepening inter-parliamentary ties and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation,” the statement said.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of regional and international politics.
