A group of individuals beat police officers in Surkhandarya
In the Uzun district of Surkhandarya region, on July 31 at around 22:30, a teenage R.S., living in the “Navruz” mahalla of the district, was beaten by citizens A.O., Sh.D., B.Sh., N.A. and R.Sh., living in the Sariasiya district. The incident occurred near the intersection of “Uzbekistan” street, which is a public place. Officers of the Uzun district DIA, who were involved in maintaining public order at the same area, warned the hooligans several times.
As the information service of the Surkhandarya regional DIA reported, two officers of the district DIA S.M. and S.K. tried to sort out the issue. However, the lawbreakers actively resisted and inflicted bodily injury on them.
According to the forensic medical examination, S.M. had “minor bodily injuries that resulted in impairment of health”. Also, the police officer S.K. and the juvenile R.S. received “minor” bodily injuries on the body.
In this fact, citizens A.O., Sh.D., B.Sh., N.A., R.Sh. and others are being prosecuted under Paragraph “g” of Article 277-3 of the Criminal Code. A preliminary investigation is underway.
