Another batch of American humanitarian aid arrives in Uzbekistan

The first shipment of humanitarian cargo provided by the Global Jewish Assistance and Relief Network and the World Congress of Bukharian Jews (USA) in the amount of more than $330,000 arrived at the Tashkent International Airport.

According to Dunyo IA, the shipment was sent to facilitate the creation of a fund of medical supplies for Uzbekistan’s medical institutions in connection with the new waves and mutations of the coronavirus.

The batch included N95 respirator masks in the amount of more than 165,000 pieces, KN95 – 4,000 pieces and three-layer masks – 100,000 pieces. The received medical masks will be sent to the appropriate medical institutions of the republic in the near future. In general, humanitarian aid consists of about 270,000 medical respiratory masks of various types.

The delivery of the first consignment of cargo from New York to Tashkent was carried out under the financial compatriot – Furkat Radjabov, director of the transport company for freight road transportation Ideal Transit LLC, who is successfully doing business in the United States.

“The situation with the coronavirus pandemic leaves none of us indifferent. We are pleased to contribute to the delivery of the first batch of medical masks provided by the American Foundation to our country,” Furkat Radjabov said.

The shipment was arranged and sent with the support of Uzbek diplomats from the Consulate General in New York and the Embassy in Israel.
