Samarkand police detain a farmer growing hemp in his house
Law enforcement officers have found a whole field of hemp in Samarkand region, the press service of the local police department reported.
It is noted that the local farmer planted, grew and sold the banned plant for use. The field was “discovered” on August 7 in the Almazar mahalla of the Jambay district.
In total, law enforcement officers found 2,160 cannabis bushes, over 500 dried hemp bushes, and about 100 grams of seeds.
An investigation is underway, the police said.
