Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach told journalists about this.

“Now my colleagues from Uzbekistan and I are completing preparations for the start of the Agroexpress pilot project, which provides for the accelerated delivery of agricultural products in a refrigerated train en route Tashkent-Moscow. The project will be implemented within the framework of the intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding signed in Moscow on June 22 in the development of logistics corridors “Russia – Uzbekistan”. Interested Russian organizations have already developed a draft roadmap providing for the finalization of technical conditions for interaction between customs and control services, provision of tariff conditions and the allocation of specialized rolling stock,” Volvach said.

According to him, the document is currently being finalized by the Uzbek side. “The implementation of the project to launch a logistics corridor will allow us to steadily increase mutual supplies of agricultural products. In the future, it is planned to introduce container block trains delivering products “from door to door”.
