Coronavirus and pneumonia: Nearly 1,500 new infection cases reported
On August 13, 966 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 529 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 142,124 (+966).
Reportedly, 209 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 88 – in Karakalpakstan, 37 – in Andijan, 25 – in Bukhara, 68 – in Jizzakh, 22 – in Kashkadarya, 21 – in Navoi, 40 – in Namangan, 96 – in Samarkand, 27 – in Syrdarya, 98 – in Surkhandarya, 91 – in Fergana, 43 – in Khorezm and 101 – in Tashkent region.
6 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 970.
As of August 13, the number of recovered stands at 135,228 (+921).
Also, 529 people tested positive for pneumonia on Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 17,414. According to the Ministry of Health, 521 of them recovered yesterday (10,023 in total).
3 pneumonia patients died on August 13, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 117.
